The Australian Government introduced new legislation that came into effect on 21st December 2001. The legislation amended the Privacy Act 1988 to further protect the privacy of individuals. The laws regulate ways in which organisations collect, use, disclose, secure information and give people access to personal information. Drnammedical respects and upholds an individual’s rights to privacy protection under the National Privacy Principles, in relation to how it collects, uses, discloses and holds all personal information. Drnammedical has a detailed policy and set of procedures to ensure that only authorised staff have access to any personal information obtained whilst conducting the normal business requirements and activities for Dr. Kenneth Nam.

Drnammedical has implemented state of the art technology and security policies and procedures to ensure that all information collected, or used, is stored in a secure environment. Any information that requires disposal is either shredded or disposed of in locked security bins.
